As part of the Archives Revealed project Hidden Burgh: Restoring Cupar’s place at the heart of Fife, the University of St Andrews is pleased to offer the following workshops to the members of the Cupar community (As numbers are limited on each of the workshops, it is necessary to reserve your place in advance. For anyone interested in learning more about the history of photography, how to identify old photographic processes and how to take care of their own family archive. If you have any photographs on which you would like advice, please feel free to bring them along. |

Participants will have the opportunity to learn how to decipher the handwriting in Scottish documents from 1500-1800. This will be hands-on workshop using copies of records from the Special Collections archives. In addition, there will be original material to inspect. |
