World Book Day 2021
OnFife Libraries staff are promoting a series of free online events to mark World Book Day on Thursday, 4 March.
Young book fans can dress up for a day of riveting readings, a virtual book hunt and a range of craft activities.
There will also be events for babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers – organised as part of a fun Bookbug session.
The day kicks off with a session from football-loving children’s author Danny Scott, who will read from his fun-filled Scotland Stars F.C series.
It continues with an event featuring performance storyteller John Kirk, who brings our favourite fairy tales to life in fresh and imaginative ways.
And there’s a dream finish to cap it all with OnFife’s very own Julia Dyke reading a Facebook Live bedtime story.
Libraries Service Development Officer Sharron Brown says: “It promises be a World Book Day to remember – we’re so looking forward to seeing all our young readers dressing up and joining us for some fun!”
All events are free to view through the OnFife Virtual LibrarYAY page on Facebook.
